Too Shy follows the relationship of a boy and girl from seniors in high school to senior citizens and explores the concepts of love, death and regret.
A short film that almost everyone can relate to in one way or another. We’ve all been too shy to do something at some point in our lives. This short film, which was directed by Ryan Hutchins, was inspired by a short story. It tells the tale of two friends who were just too shy.
Although there are many things that are great about this piece, the script really stands out to me. When you watch this piece, pay attention to the dialogue. You can hear the different levels of the story through each line, and its obvious how much time and consideration went into creating just the script alone. The transitions of voices were timed well both with the audio and the visual aspects of the film. So please, don’t be too shy, check out this film!
He: I was too shy, but I don't know why
I was a wasted soul... a lie
She: He just seems too shy... too shy, and I don't know why
